Safety Innovations furniture & cabinet safety

Which furniture should be anchored?

Every piece with drawers, doors or shelves, according to the safety agency, and every TV. Children climb open drawers like steps. The straps adjust up to 36 inches and come with the screws for both ends.

Do the drawer latches fit every cabinet?

Only cabinets with a face frame. The latch catches on the frame, so a frameless cabinet gives it nothing to hold. Each pack has four latches and eight screws.

Why is a shower rod mount on a safety page?

Toddlers pull on shower curtains, and a tension rod that slides down comes with them. The rubber pads hold the rod end in place.

The straps, latches and mounts here are part of the Safety Innovations collection.

Questions

Furniture and cabinet questions

What can you anchor with Safety Innovations straps?

Dressers, nightstands, bookcases, bureaus, TV stands, TVs and standing mirrors. The safety agency says to anchor every piece of furniture with drawers, doors or shelves.

Do Safety Innovations drawer latches work on every cabinet?

Only on cabinets with a face frame. The latch catches on the frame, so a frameless cabinet has nothing for it to hold.

Is the shower rod included with the Safety Innovations rod mount?

No. The pack is two rubber mounts for a tension rod or bar up to 1 3/8 inches across. The rod and curtain are not included.
