Details
Low outlets in a hallway or behind the sofa are the ones a crawling baby finds first. This plate takes the place of your standard cover and holds with the same single center screw, so the swap takes a screwdriver and a few minutes. Switch the breaker off before you start.
Pull a plug out and the shutters slide back over the slots on their own. There is no cap to put back and none to end up in a mouth. The plate runs a little larger than a builder-grade cover, which hides the worn paint ring an old plate often leaves.

Installation
- Switch off power to the outlet at the breaker.
- Remove the single screw and the old plate.
- Set the self-closing plate over the outlet and fit the screw that comes with it.
- Turn the power back on and test the shutters with a plug.
