Safety Innovations Window Widget
A wedge that stops a sliding or sash window from opening past the point you set.
Fits: Window frames of sliding and sash windows; a 7 3/4 in hook-and-loop strip sets the stop point
- You set the stop. The 7 3/4-inch hook-and-loop strip lets you place the wedge where you want it.
- No holes. Peel the backing and press the strip onto the frame.
- Quick release. Pull the wedge off the strip to open the window fully.
- 4 or 8 in a pack. One per window.
Details
Decide how far the window may open, then stick the hook-and-loop strip to the frame at that point. The strip is 7 3/4 inches long, so you have room to choose. Set the wedge on the strip, slide the window, and it stops against the wedge.
There are no tools, screws or holes. When you need the window fully open, for a hot night or a way out in an emergency, pull the wedge off the strip by hand. It goes back on in a second.

Installation
- Decide how far the window may open. Aim for 4 inches or less.
- Peel the backing off the hook-and-loop strip and press it onto the window frame track.
- Set the Widget on the strip at the stop point.
- Slide the window open to test. To open fully, pull the Widget off the strip.
