Safety Innovations Bi-Fold Door Lock
A clear bar across the top of a bi-fold door that stops the panels from folding. It goes on without tools or glue.

Details
Close the closet, then set this clear bar across the top of both folding panels, away from the hinged fold. With the bar in place the panels cannot fold, and the closet stays shut. There are no screws and no glue, which suits a rental.
It fits doors from 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches thick. On the thinner ones, snap the shim into the bar so it sits snug. The extension wand in the box lets a shorter adult slide the bar from the floor on a tall closet.

Installation
- Check the doors are bi-fold and 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches thick.
- Close the doors and set the lock across the top, away from the hinged fold.
- On thinner doors, snap in the shim for a snug fit.
- Slide the lock over the fold to hold the doors shut. Use the wand if the top is hard to reach.
