Safety Innovations Twin Door Outlet Cover Box
A deep box that closes over an outlet with the plugs still in it. Two buttons, top and bottom, open the doors.
Fits: Outlets with large plugs, adapters and power strips left plugged in
- Deep inside. 5 3/8 inches tall, 3 3/16 wide and 2 3/4 deep, room for an adapter and its cord.
- Two-hand opening. Press the top and bottom buttons together to open the doors.
- Both outlet styles. Plates and screws for standard and Decora outlets come in the box.
- Cord exit. Cords leave through the bottom with the doors shut.
Details
Press the top and bottom buttons together and both doors swing open. That two-handed squeeze is easy for you and hard for a toddler, which is the point. Inside there is 5 3/8 inches of height and 2 3/4 inches of depth, room for a monitor adapter, a surge protector plug or a charger brick.
The box screws onto the outlet in place of the plate. Adapter plates for both standard and Decora outlets come in the box, so you use the one that matches your wall. Cords leave through the bottom, and the doors close over them with a light tap.

Installation
- Switch off power at the breaker and take off the existing outlet plate.
- Fit the adapter plate for your outlet: standard or Decora.
- Attach the box to the receptacle: one screw for standard, two for Decora.
- Plug in, route the cords out of the bottom and close the doors with a light tap.
